It is just so sad to see the devastation the February 2011 earthquake caused this previously beautiful city. It’s like a ghost town, suddenly abandonned and at times I felt like the sole survivor after a nuclear holocaust.
I went shopping in this Farmers store once for a new tie. I had rushed down to Christchurch to take over from my boss who was sick and forgot to bring a neck tie.
