Hottest Day Yet

There was an accident on the Harbour Bridge this afternoon, which delayed traffic going home. So I stayed at work later than usual.

Of course this meant that by the time I got home my lounge was much hotter than usual. Made worse by the fact that I forgot to set the timer on my air con before I went to work & it looked like it was going to rain today so I shut All the windows.

The Walk

It’s weigh in day tomorrow for the biggest loser.  I ate sooo much good food over the weekend that of course I put on weight and will definitely have to pay the $5.00 penalty.  But that’s ok, I would rather have enjoyed the wonderful food my friends served me and pay $5 tomorrow, than starve myself.

Anyway, I did actually go for a big walk tonight so who knows, maybe it will help.  It’s a start at least.  I was looking for something to photograph on my walk to prove to you all I did it, but the light was not so good, so this is a bright flower which was on a tree that I walked past.

I’ve Signed Up

A group of people I work with have formed a weight loss group so I have paid my money and I’m doing it.

So far so good… I had a salad for lunch instead of the bacon and egg pie and I didn’t eat the cake either.

However it is only day one!

Silver Linings

Every cloud has a silver lining.

About 15 minutes before I was due to leave work and go home it started to really poor down with rain. It looked like it wasn’t going to stop for ages either meaning a very wet walk home from the bus stop.

Then the printer jammed and I couldn’t leave till I had finished my printing coz I can’t print my stuff at the place I’m going to be working at tomorrow so I needed to have them ready to take with me today.

I did not manage to finish printing till way past my usual going home time. However just as the bus drove up my road the rain miraculously stopped and the sun came out. I got to walk home in lovely sunshine. So you see… every cloud does have a silver lining.
