I got to spend today up North in Whangarei. This picture is of the old library, the new one is behind the old one and the new one has a great cafe, where I had lunch.
Happy Happy Joy Joy… I made it to the 75.9 kg mark today. Which is a huge milestone for me, coz I made my goal about 70 kg, so I’m half way there and all last week I was stuck on about 76.5 and just couldn’t go any lower no matter what I did or didn’t do.
Both Sides of the Story

While out on my walk I spotted a sad Punga tree with a broken branch. I knew the branch would die soon, so I picked a bit off to photograph the silver part of the fern.
Once I got home I felt in the mood for a bit of Photoshop to merge both sides of the fern into one image, plus I removed the background and filled it with black.
Well not really.
At last the pedometer told me I’d walked 10,000 steps.
As I walked to work this morning I was greeted with yet another glorious sunrise. If you look closely you can see an airplane (near the centre). You can click on the photo to see a larger version.
At weigh in today I had lost another kilo.
So… my grand reward for all this hard work is this wonderful chocolate bar a friend brought me back from Australia for my birthday. I’m going to have it while watching “The Big Bang Theory” tonight.

This is the stunning view I got to enjoy on my way to work this morning.
Wow. I read this book in TWO days. That’s a world record for me. I just could not put it down. Very powerful. The back cover said it would reach out and grab you buy the heart. It sure did! At one point I had to stop and get a coffee just so I could breathe again.
While out and about this evening doing my supermarket shopping, I saw Easter Eggs on sale at the Warehouse. That’s awful. It’s mid February and Easter is not till April the 2nd!!!
Thought I would try something different today. A video.
Today was one of those days where it’s great to live and work in Auckland city. The weather was perfect and downtown Auckland was busy with loads of tourists. A couple of us from work walked down to the waterfront at lunchtime to look at the ship and try out “video” for my blog. It’s not a long video coz I had to chop the ending where the pontoon I was standing on started to rock.
The big walk paid off. Despite all the wonderful food I ate throughout my birthday weekend, I managed to weigh in a whole kilo lighter. Yahoo!!!
